Singer Mairéad Carlin announces she’s leaving Celtic Woman

After becoming part of Celtic Woman back in August 2013, singer Mairéad Carlin has revealed that she has chosen to leave the group.

Mairéad admitted that although her time with Celtic Woman has brought her many happy memories and friends, she said that her time has come to leave.

The 32-year-old from Derry in Northern Ireland, has a whole host of accomplishments from her time with the group to leave with, including singing in front of the President of Ireland and being nominated for a Grammy award.

Taking to Instagram to share the news, Mairéad uploaded a photo where she explained her reasoning behind her decision. She said: ‘I just want to say thank you so much for your support over the last 8 years during my time with Celtic Woman.’ A
