independence among young Scots has soared since the 2014 referendum, analysis of new polling suggests.Almost three in four Scots aged between 16 and 34 would vote Yes at a potential IndyRef2, a recent survey by pollsters Survation found.But a stark generational divide over independence remains - with just over one-third of voters aged 65 and over saying they would back the breakup of the UK.The SNP said today that support for a new Scottish state was rising across all age groups, while pro-Union campaigners said voters viewed another referendum as a distraction from more important issues.The right of the Scottish Government to call an IndyRef2 is expected to dominate the campaign for next year's Holyrood elections.The Survation poll.
