But pictures taken on a Scotrail service from the capital to North Berwick saw social distancing rules being broken as passengers squeezed onto the train on Saturday, July 17.

One image showed families standing in the aisles, with every seat taken and the two-metre rule ignored, reports Edinburgh Live.
