About 13,000 Scots develop skin cancer every year – more than 1200 of whom get the most serious, melanoma.But even the other forms of skin cancer can kill if not caught in time.And if not fatal, the removal of the skin cancers can leave scars.Campaigners argue sunscreen is not a luxury product but essential.
This, in turn, can prevent a much greater burden on the NHS.
