dailyrecord.co.ukSam Cosgrove has knocked back a £2 million move to Guingamp.The Ligue 2 side tried to land the Dons star ahead of the French signing deadline on Wednesday.Aberdeen and Guingamp were in talks over a fee and had granted Cosgrove permission to open talks.The problem for the 23-year-old is that he was only given 24 hours to make up his mind before the French signing deadline passed.Cosgrove wanted more time to weigh up his options.He wasn’t 100 per cent convinced on the move to the second tier of French football and decided he would rather remain at Aberdeen.Guingamp could yet resurrect their interest when their window re-opens in a month’s time but it seems unlikely Cosgrove’s position will change.The prolific striker also has strong interest.
