Sage member warns one to two thousand hospital admissions a day 'likely'

A member of Sage modelling subgroup Spi-M, Professor Medley provides expert advice to the Department of Health and Social Care and the wider UK government on scientific matters relating to the UK's response to emerging threats from infectious diseases.

He appeared on BBC Radio 4's Today programme to warn there is uncertainty in predicting people's behaviour after restrictions are lifted on July 19. “It’s likely that we will get between 1-2,000 hospitalisations a day,” Professor Medley said. READ MORE: Petition calling
