Robinson reveals Jordan Jones is in doubt for upcoming game

By Kyle GunnStephen Robinson says St Mirren winger Jordan Jones is a big doubt for tomorrow’s crucial game against Dundee United.The on-loan Wigan midfielder played on despite suffering a shoulder injury in the opening stages of the Scottish Cup quarter final defeat to Hearts last weekend.Robinson, who hopes to have Jones back at the other side of the international break, has also revealed that full back Matt Millar is likely to miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury.Speaking to Express Sport, the Buddies boss explained: “He won’t be fit for Saturday.“He had a scan on his shoulder but we’re hoping he’ll be back after the international break.

Nothing is guaranteed but he’s desperate to get back.He did his hamstring the first week we were here. We hoped to have him back but the scan showed up a tendon problem and we need to speak to the specialist to see if he needs an operation.“We’re not sure at this moment in time but it’s likely he won’t feature the rest of the season.”Don't miss the latest headlines from around Renfrewshire.
