Residents' fury over speeding traffic in wake of serious crash

The crash at the junction of Cadishead Way and Fairhills Road forced the closure of both roads, creating long delays, as police investigators examined the scene.

One man who lives on Fairhills Road was seen remonstrating with a police officer who was diverting traffic away from the area.

Sixty-four-year-old Graham Glasgow, who is a full-time carer for his wife Karen, 62, said: "It's no surprise to us there has been an accident near here.
