Residents have complained about a street in Tyldesley being used as a public toilet by passers-by and motorists. One disgruntled resident posted on Facebook that she had spotted two lads pull up on Alexander Street in the town, and one get out of the car to urinate up the fence.

She said she had managed to catch the act on camera with the registration plate of the vehicle and intended to report the matter to the police.

The post prompted a number of angry responses with one user saying it may be down to a lack of facilities and suggesting the council should be involved.

Others expressed their disgust at a lack of respect for other people. Poster Stephen Budgen suggested involving the council may help.
