Jake Hastie has returned to Rangers following his loan stint at Partick Thistle. The winger from Law made six appearances for the Jags after his half-season loan agreement from Ibrox in August. He has struggled to make an impact at the Championship club and now heads back to Govan after a disappointing spell.Hastie joined Rangers in 2019 on a four-year-deal after a purple patch of form with Motherwell, but he has found subsequent loans at Rotherham, Fir Park and the Jags frustrating. The 22-year-old spent time on loan at Airdrie and Alloa while still with Motherwell and has 18 months left to run on his Rangers deal.Partick Thistle manager Ian McCall said: "After speaking to Jake we came to the decision that it was best for him to go back to Rangers."He’s not had the game time that he or I would have liked for him during his time at Firhill which is unfortunate because I do think he’s a player with a lot quality."Unfortunately, the team has been in good form which has meant he’s had to come off the bench and it’s always difficult to make an impact that way.“Like I said, he’s a player with a plenty of quality and ability who I’m sure still has a great future in the game and we wish him all the best for that future.”Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
