A Phoenix police officer was arrested on suspicion of trying to solicit a prostitute early Sunday morning, the department said. Michael Martinez, 30, was booked into jail on Oct. 16.

Jackson Rutland, 19, contacted his ex around 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday to inform her he had taken some of her mother's ashes.The ex was not home at the time, as she had spent the night at a friend's house.

A Minnesota convicted felon is accused of trying to murder his ex-girlfriend while out on bond. Tylynne Lashawn Wilson, 40, allegedly broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend in Minneapolis and fired 12 shots at her on Monday in the presence of their son, according to FOX 9. Minneapolis police officers responded to the incident and found the child next to her mother on the bedroom floor, where she was injured with several gunshot wounds, according to charging documents.

Two fathers have been accused of shooting each other's daughters during the course of a road rage altercation in Florida this week.  William Hale, 36, and Frank Allison, 43, have both been charged with attempted murder following a driving dispute that resulted in the two drivers allegedly firing shots at each other that struck the other person's daughter, WOFL-TV reported. The Nassau County Sheriff's Office says both parties were speeding and "brake checking each other" and seemingly were playing a "cat and mouse game" while driving erratically along US Highway 1 in Nassau County, Florida.

Shannon Brandt intends to "fully defend" himself against the murder charge he is facing in relation to the death of Cayler Ellingson. Brandt, 41, was arrested after police say he used his SUV to fatally hit Cayler Ellingson, 18, during the early morning hours of Sept. 18 after a street dance at a local bar in McHenry, North Dakota.

Police in Stockton, California announced that a suspect has been arrested in relation to six murders and one shooting since April 2021. Stockton City Manager Harry Black announced that Wesley Brownlee, 43, was arrested while he was armed and on a "mission to kill" another victim.

Iranian protesters have demanded "justice" for a woman who was assaulted by anti-riot police, with one officer forcibly grabbing her bottom and then pushing her on the ground.  The video, captured on a security camera at the Argentina Square in Tehran on Wednesday, shows police surrounding the woman. When they start to cart her away, one officer grabs the woman’s bottom before she drops to her knees.  Another woman can be heard saying that the officers were pulling the victim’s hair as she knelt on the ground.  Tehran’s Police Public Relations office has said the incident will be investigated, the BBC reported, but the police provided no statement as to what might have happened.

Family and friends of the five victims who died in a Thursday shooting spree in Raleigh, North Carolina, are mourning the lives that were taken suddenly away from them in a 15-year-old suspect's senseless act of violence. On Thursday, Wake County District Attorney Lorri Freeman filed a juvenile petition against the suspect, who remains in critical condition, with the intent to transfer the case to the Supreme Court and charge him as an adult, according to WNCN. The 15-year-old is accused of shooting the five victims within a two-mile radius of Raleigh's Hedingham neighborhood, a middle-class golfing community, and the Neuse River Greenway that wraps around the neighborhood, just after 5 p.m.

A North Carolina district attorney is planning on charging the 15-year-old male suspect in Thursday's shooting in Raleigh, which left five people dead, as an adult. Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman told Fox News Digital that she plans to charge the 15-year-old male suspect as an adult, "assuming he recovers." The 15-year-old male, who hasn't been named by officials, is accused of opening fire in Raleigh near the Neuse River Greenway area shortly after 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Police in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, found "multiple objects in the water that appear to be human remains" in the Deep Fork River Friday amid a days-long search for four missing cyclists, authorities said. Mark Chastain, 32; Billy Chastain, 30; Mike Sparks, 32; and Alex Stevens, 29, of Okmulgee, were reported missing Monday evening. Mark Chastain's wife, Jessica, and Alex Stevens' mother reported their disappearances.

The two New York ex-cons accused in connection with the shooting death of the father of a local Marist College student at a Poughkeepsie hotel were ordered held without bail on Friday after they pleaded not guilty.  Roy Johnson and Devin Taylor are charged separately for their involvement in the October 2 shooting that led to the death of 53-year-old Paul Kutz and the discovery of an alleged bomb-making "manual."  Wearing a white t-shirt and an orange jail-issued jumpsuit with his hair up, Johnson – the man accused of opening fire and killing Kutz – appeared in New York's Dutchess County Court early Friday. The suspect in the Connecticut ambush that resulted in the deaths of two Bristol Police officers was friends on Facebook with one of the victims.  Nicholas Brutcher's list of friends on the social media platform includes fallen officer Alex Hamzy, who appeared to go by Alex Yzmah on Facebook.  Hamzy, 34, was killed in the line of duty Wednesday night.  Bristol Police Chief Brian Gould said in a news conference that Hamzy, who was raised in the city, graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in 2006. British Prime Minister Liz Truss will move to reshape her government’s economic policy after firing Chancellor of the Exchequer Kwasi Kwarteng and dropping key parts of her economic plan in response to market panic caused by the proposed "mini-budget."  "After the fallout from the mini-budget, the Prime Minister needed to take drastic action to calm the markets and save her job," Alan Mendoza, executive director of the Henry Jackson Society, told Fox News Digital. People who knew Nicholas Brutcher, the suspect in the killing of two Connecticut police officers, described him as "rowdy" and "always drinking."  In an interview with the New York Post, a neighbor of his brother, Nathaniel Brutcher, said that "Nick was the big rowdy one." The woman added that Nicholas, who the Post said was a divorced father, was a "big teddy bear."  Another neighbor told the outlet that Nicholas would visit his brother and that he was "always drinking."  "I don’t know much about [Nicholas], except he drinks a lot," he said. "The dude’s always drinking. He’d be around, checking on his brother." The same neighbor described Nathaniel Brutcher as a "man-child" who he claimed was into drugs.

Former North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Cheri Beasley, the state's Democratic candidate for Senate, received an endorsement from a major racial justice group that supports defunding and disbanding the police. The political action committee (PAC) for Color of Change, which former Obama White House adviser Van Jones co-founded in 2005, announced in August that it would support Beasley's bid for Senate in large part because of her platform of "reforming the criminal justice system." Color of Change regularly posts on social media in support of anti-police policies and the Black Lives Matter movement. Raleigh, North Carolina, officials held a press conference early Friday after an alleged juvenile gunman shot and killed five people, including an off-duty police officer, and wounded two more. The young gunman opened fire near the Neuse River Greenway area in Raleigh just after 5 p.m., officials previously said.

An Indiana teacher was arrested on Thursday after allegedly telling a fifth-grader that she made a "kill list" targeting students and staff members, police said. St. Stanislaus School teacher, Angelica Carrasquillo-Torres, reportedly mentioned the plans to a fifth-grade student around noon on Wednesday.

The home of former Atlanta Falcons football player Julio Jones was burglarized Tuesday while he was in Florida playing in his first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a news release, Atlanta police said officers responded to reports of a burglary at a residence in Buckhead. Upon arriving at the home, the officers were told the property belonged to Jones.

The death of Kiely Rodni, a California 16-year-old who vanished after an end-of-summer high school party near Lake Tahoe in August, has officially been ruled an accidental drowning, authorities announced Thursday. Rodni was last seen shortly after midnight at a large party near the Prosser Creek Reservoir, in the Tahoe National Forest near Truckee, California.  Authorities initially treated her disappearance as a possible abduction and searched the area for more than two weeks without finding any signs of the missing girl or her vehicle, a silver Honda CRV. Despite conducting more than 100 interviews, investigators struggled to locate anyone who had seen her leave the area – accessed by a bumpy dirt road.

Police in Raleigh, North Carolina responded to an active shooting on Thursday and were telling residents to "remain in their homes." "The Raleigh Police Department is currently on the scene of an active shooting in the area of the Neuse River Greenway near Osprey Cove Drive and Bay Harbor Drive. Residents in that area are advised to remain in their homes," the Raleigh Police Department Tweeted.

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested in the beating death of a Los Angeles liquor store clerk and authorities seeking three other suspects.  Steven Reyes, 68, was killed on Oct. 6 following a robbery outside Tony’s Market in the Highland Park neighborhood.

A Michigan teenager allegedly jumped over the retaining wall of a freeway and fell 25 to 30 feet after running out of gas in an allegedly stolen Mustang during a police chase on Wednesday evening, the Brownstown Police Department said. The suspect was transported to a local hospital and did not appear to have any life-threatening injuries.  The nearby Woodhaven Police Department originally put out an alert that three Mustang Shelby GT500s had been stolen from the Ford Flat Rock Assembly Plant around 7 p.m.
