On Friday, R. Kelly‘s manager was taken into police custody for allegedly threatening a Manhattan theater owner regarding its content.
Page Six says the theater was screening Surviving R. Kelly from Lifetime. On the 4th of December, 2018, the 45-year-old man, Donnell Russell, allegedly called the NeueHouse Theater and claimed there was someone in the audience who planned to kill everyone inside the venue.
According to court documents, Donnell made the call to the establishment at the same time as guests’ arrival to see Surviving R.
Kelly, the project that ultimately facilitated the former R&B singer’s downfall in the music industry. The theater owners had to cancel it due to the threat and every audience member was subsequently evacuated..
