Officers responded to a report of kidnap on Great Western Street at around 9pm last night (Monday). At least two police vans were pictured stationed on the street near the junction with Heald Grove.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said the woman was found. She has now returned home, they added. Enquiries are ongoing at this stage.
