It brings the total number of people with the virus who have died in hospitals in our region to 5,846. Every day the NHS gives an update on virus-related deaths recorded by hospital trusts in England in the previous 24 hour period.

These are cases where someone has died within 28 days of a positive test or where Covid-19 is mentioned on their death certificate.
