Police shut off road after two crashes

manchestereveningnews.co.ukA pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle in a crash this evening in the centre of Leigh. Police were called to Spinning Jenny Way, where two vehicle collisions had taken place along the same stretch of road.
One of the crashes was reported to have included a pedestrian, police said. READ MORE: Woman seriously injured after police pursue ‘suspicious vehicle’ through Manchester The road was closed from Derby Street up to the traffic lights at the junction.
A cordon was put in place from around 7.10pm on November 9. One side of the road is now moving again. Drivers were encouraged to avoid the area due to the closure.
