Police have released another CCTV image after a man was left fighting for his life following a brutal attack in the Northern Quarter.

The 62-year-old victim was found unconscious on Tib Street just before 6.30pm on Thursday, June 23, police said. The man is believed to have been attacked near the junction with Hilton Street.

Detectives believe the attacker - a male - fled the scene towards Hilton Street, before turning left onto Oldham Street. Police previously released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to about the attack. Alongside the photo, an officer wrote: "#APPEAL Detectives investigating a serious assault that took place on Tib Street in the city centre that left a man in critical condition have released further CCTV of a male they would like to speak to. "Just before 6.30pm on 23 June, we were called to a report of a male, 62, found unconscious.
