Ricky Gervais
Ricky Dene Gervais (born 25 June 1961) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, writer, film producer, director and musician. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing and acting in the British television series The Office (2001–2003). He has won seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Rose d'Or twice (2006 and 2019), as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In 2007, he was placed at No. 11 on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups and at No. 3 on the updated 2010 list. In 2010, he was named on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people.

Countdown’s surprising new host revealed after Anne Robinson exit

Les Dennis has officially been unveiled as the new host of Countdown following Anne Robinson's final episode airing earlier this month.

Collin Murray temporarily replaced Anne until the end of this year, but Les will step into the hosting role for a limited time through the month of August.

With the star previously presenting Family Fortunes between 1987 and 2002, Les has got bags of experience under his belt and will bring his own style to the show as it continues its transitional period.

Les also starred as Michael Rodwell in Coronation Street and appeared on Ricky Gervais' Extras - as well as recently joining the Only Fools and Horses musical as Grandad.
