Police have raced to a Glasgow railway after reckless kids used the tracks in a bid to avoid flooding. The pupils, mainly from John Paul Academy, Glasgow, were on the tracks of Summerston train station on their way to school.
The teens trespassed onto the line at around 8.30am.It led to ScotRail and the British Transport Police issuing statements warning against taking shortcuts in a bid to avoid flooding in the local area.ScotRail said in a tweet: "We're aware of a number of people (including children) using the railway as shortcut to avoid flooding in the Summerston area."This is extremely dangerous as well as illegal."The police are on site and are working with our staff to monitor the area in person and via CCTV."A British Transport
