The woman whose body was discovered at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool, sparking a murder probe, died accidentally. Merseyside Police have confirmed that the woman at the centre of a murder investigation after her body was found in the Britannia-owned hotel in Liverpool city centre yesterday morning, September 10, died accidentally, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

Officers were called to the hotel at around 6.37am to reports of concern for safety, and when they arrived they found the body of a 22-year-old woman in a room.

Three men, a 26-year-old from Seacombe, a 46-year-old from Liverpool, and a 49-year-old from Widnes were all arrested on suspicion of murder. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "A file is being prepared for the coroner after a post-mortem concluded that a 22-year-old (correct) woman, who died at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool city centre, died as a result of accidental death.
