Erskine Bridge.The incident took place on Monday night (July 12) at around 9.15pm in the yard at the rear of St Patrick's Church in Old Kilpatrick.
The yard was broken into and a mobile generator was removed and set alight along with scaffolding platforms and fencing. A number of youths, seven males and two females, were seen in the area - and officers are keen to speak to them.
They are described as aged between 15 and 17-years-old. They were mostly wearing dark clothing, including hoodies, tracksuits and shorts.
One of the females was wearing a shiny puffa style jacket with a black hood. Detective Constable Mark Gillies said: “This was a reckless act that caused a considerable amount of damage.
