Clara Amfo, the host of BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds show, has announced she will be stepping down next year to focus on new projects with the network. Jack Saunders, who currently presents Future Artists and The Official Chart shows, will take over from April 15.

Clara Amfo, who danced her way into our hearts on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020, has decided to say goodbye to her BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds show after two years.The DJ announced that she'll be leaving the show in 2024 to take on new exciting projects. Jack Saunders, known for presenting Future Artists and The Official Chart shows, will be stepping into Clara's shoes from April 15. Clara shared a heartfelt message saying how proud she was of her work on the station and how grateful she was for her listeners.The show has seen some big names like Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Steve Lamacq at the helm before.

U2 frontman Bono has shared a further update on their forthcoming new album, reiterating that it will be “an unreasonable guitar record”.It comes over a year after he previously expressed his desire to release “a noisy, uncompromising, unreasonable guitar album”, citing AC/DC as an influence.Now in a new interview, he has also said that as well being “an unreasonable guitar record” it will also come with “big choruses”.He told MOJO magazine: “I announced it, without discussion, as ‘an unreasonable guitar record’. And Edge called me up and goes, ‘How unreasonable?’ And I said, ‘As unreasonable as you’re ready to take it.’“I don’t think the world is waiting on the next U2 album,” Bono added.

Paramore have announced the artists that will be featured on their “almost remix” album, ‘Re: This Is Why’.The band have been teasing a release to coincide with the first anniversary of the album’s title track since last week. Mick Jagger has recalled working with Lady Gaga on The Rolling Stones‘ new single ‘Sweet Sounds Of Heaven’.The collaborative song, which also features Stevie Wonder, was released yesterday (September 28) as the latest preview of the Stones’ 24th studio album ‘Hackney Diamonds’ (out October 20).During an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Jagger praised Gaga – who provided backing vocals on the track – and explained how ‘Sweet Sounds Of Heaven’ came together in the studio.“She’s a really great singer and I’d never heard her sing [in] quite that style before.
