The magazine’s Variety Power of Women 2022 from Los Angeles won the Webby People’s Voice Award for events and livestreams in the General Video category, and Variety won the Webby for editorial writing in features and design section of the Websites and Mobile Sites category for co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh’s Oct. 26, 2022, cover story on Hugh Jackman. Variety had garnered four 2023 Webby Awards nominations. Other 2023 Webby Awards winners include Lizzo, former President Barack Obama, Doja Cat, Blackpink, the cast of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” the cast of Marvel’s “Wakanda Forever,” Trixie Mattel, Hugh Jackman, Christina Aguilera, Patrick Mahomes, Jimmy Kimmel, Roger Federer, Serena Williams and Trevor Noah. The company says it’s been publishing more than 1,000 videos per month on its creators’ Facebook pages, which have amassed over 50 million followers.Whitney Port, a vlogger, fashion designer, entrepreneur and an alum of MTV’s “The Hills,” has a bigger following on Facebook (430,000-plus followers) than on YouTube (178,000 subscribers).

Mel B has joined the star-studded panel of season 2. The global superstar will appear alongside returning judges, Vanessa Williams, Trixie Mattel and Michelle Visage, as well as returning host Graham Norton as they search for the most talented drag queen who can perform live in front of an audience. Mel B replaces Leona Lewis, who was part of the panel during season 1 when Brazil’s Grag Queen was awarded the top prize. The singer and Spice Girl, of course, has no shortage of experience when it comes to reality competitions, having previously judged on, (U.K.), (Australia) as well as presented (U.K.). Mattel, meanwhile, recently opened up to ET about what she loved most about judging the competition.

Trixie Mattel is taking on her most ambitious project yet: renovating a rundown Palm Springs, California, motel alongside boyfriend and co-owner David Silver for the Discovery+ series .The pair had four months and a limited budget in order to turn the property into what Trixie dubs, “a kind of retro pink, ‘60s desert paradise.” But as seen on the eight-part series so far, this transformation is no easy feat. “People take a year to renovate their living room and then they get a divorce. So, for me and my partner to stay in love on television and renovate an entire commercial property, I mean, every day we had to both freak out and then give ourselves permission to freak out when we were doing something insane,” Trixie tells ET’s Lauren Zima. Needless to say, the process has been stressful.

Orville Peck has shared the first four tracks from his forthcoming second album, ‘Bronco’, releasing an EP dubbed ‘Chapter 1’ today (February 11).Leading the pack is a smoky, retro-tinged love song titled ‘C’mon Baby, Cry’, which serves as the lead single from ‘Bronco’, and comes alongside a video directed by Austin Peters. Orville Peck has announced his sophomore album ‘Bronco’ with a new trailer featuring neon lights, barroom brawls, and slick dance moves.The country artist has also revealed that ‘Chapter 1’ from ‘Bronco’ will be released this Friday, February 11, while the album itself is slated to drop on April 8 via Columbia. ‘Bronco’ is the follow-up to his 2019 album ‘Pony’, released 2019 on Sub Pop.The trailer features a snippet of a new Orville Peck song, which appears to be the title track of the album.
