Guardiola also made it plain to England manager Gareth Southgate that the Stockport lad is ready for his international call-up, with the Nations League due to resume in September.
Foden was superb in the 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool last night, playing in the right-wing berth in which he was also named man of the match in the Carabao Cup final win over Aston Villa.
