Police in Blackpool have found an 11-year-old boy driving a car with his parents who were "trying to stop him playing Grand Theft Auto all day".

A member of the boy's family told cops that they were so fed up with him playing the video game, that they decided to give the child a driving lesson.

Officers from Lancashire police stopped the red Vauxhall Astra in a car park in Blackpool town centre and have reported the adult for a series of traffic offences.

Posting on Twitter, a spokesperson for police wrote: "The driver of this car was 11-years-old. Yes, eleven. "A family member was fed up with the child playing Grand Theft Auto all day on the Playstation, so brought him out to practice driving on a car park in Blackpool. "The adult has been
