Two-time Olympic medallist Carlin finished 0.406 seconds behind Nicholas Paul of Trinidad and Tobago.Sportscotland director of high performance, Mike Whittingham, said: ‘’Scottish cyclists have a great track record of success at the Commonwealth Games and Jack Carlin has added himself to that list of greats with this silver medal.“Cycling in Scotland is going from strength to strength and athletes like Jack are a true inspiration to the next generation of Scottish athletes.’’Neah Evans also won bronze during the games in the 3,000 metre individual pursuit meaning the pair have added Scotland’s eighth and ninth medals of the Commonwealth Games.
