Located on the northern banks of the Firth of Forth across the water from Bo'Ness and close to the town of Dunfermline, the picturesque village has a rich history, not just as a filming location but also in its religious origins and close connection to Scotland's largest city.Pronounced 'Coo-riss', the royal burgh is said to be the birthplace of St Mungo, the founder and Patron Saint of Glasgow.The story goes that Mungo, or Kentigern as he is also known, was the son of a beautiful princess named Teneu (later known as St Thenew) who was banished from the Lothians after she was raped by a Welsh prince, supposedly hurled from a local cliff she survived the fall and was instead set.
