ok.co.ukNTA viewers were left baffled half an hour into the event, when an embarrassing blunder saw an unexpected picture of Peter Ash, who played Paul Foreman in Coronation Street, flash up on screen, completely out of the blue.There was no dry eye in sight on Monday night when Paul sadly lost his battle with MND, with his husband Billy tragically not making it to the hospital in time to say goodbye to his husband.
Although Peter did win an award for his incredible performance, his picture may showed up on screen slightly too early. Blink and you’d have miss it, but eagle-eyed viewers on X, formerly known as Twitter, didn’t.
When the nominations for Best Reality Competition Show were being read out, and a clip from Race Across The World was being shown, a still of Peter in his role at Corrie was accidentally placed on screen.
Fans took to Twitter to comment on the slip up, as one penned: “not the still of Paul from corrie?? [skull emojis]. “Why was Paul on my screen there?” questioned one confused fan, whilst a third wrote: “[laughing emojis] why did a dying Paul just pop up on our screens?
