North Uist pair unveil plans to produce whisky with creation of most westerly Scottish distillery at Bonnie Prince Charlie building

Outer Hebrides has announced plans to make whisky as it gets set to move into a new home which could be become Scotland's most westerly whisky distillery.

North Uist Distillery, which is based on the island of the same of the same name, posted about the fact that they'd made a special purchase on their Facebook page.Founders Jonny Ingledew and Kate MacDonald, who returned to the island with the dream of creating outstanding artisan spirits, had already been producing their Downpour Gin from their current site on the north west of the island and will now look to add to their spirits range with the new distillery on the isle of Benbecula.North Uist natives head distiller Jonny and creative director Kate posted on their facebook page: "We’ve.
