Normal People’s Paul Mescal admits he almost quit acting

evoke.ieWe can’t imagine a world now where Paul Mescal hasn’t become an international heartthrob after playing the role of Connell Waldron in Normal People.
However, it seems that at one point he thought this whole acting thing wasn’t going to work out as he struggled with acting college and thought about leaving his career behind.
During an interview with Irish comic Jarleth Regan, Paul Mescal spoke about his life before Normal People and how different things might have been.
He said: ‘There was a period in first year in drama school and I felt like I just wasn’t getting it. In sport, you can train lots and generally you are going to get it. ‘In acting though you have to change the way you think about things and you can’t prepare to the extent
