Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Nnamdi Ofoborh has vowed to make 2022 his year after a nightmare start to life at Rangers. The 22-year-old signed from Bournemouth in the summer but his football was rapidly put into perspective when a heart problem emerged in pre-season.

Then-manager Steven Gerrard revealed after a friendly with Arsenal that Ofoborh would be out for the foreseeable after a "red flag" in his ECG tests.

But little has been heard since with the club giving him privacy to continue his recovery in the background.However now 2021 is behind us, the midfielder himself has taken to social media to tell his story.

And he reveals the problem was so serious it nearly cost him his life. He wrote on Instagram: “This year has easily been the toughest year of my life.
