Nicola Sturgeon refuses to raise expectations on schools reopening early next month

First Minister said a decision will be made tomorrow, but added that she was not going to raise the expectations of parents.

As part of her pre-Christmas lockdown announcement, Sturgeon announced that schools would close for the majority of pupils. It was a precautionary measure brought out amid fears of rising infections levels from a new strain of covid.She promised a review in the middle of this month which parents across Scotland were hopeful could lead to class-room based learning resuming again.At her media briefing in Edinburgh today, Sturgeon said: “Schools are closed to the majority of pupils right now to the 1st of February.
