Engines at the ready. Netflix has announced that it will be releasing a documentary based on the life of formula one racing legend Michael Schumacher.

Fittingly the timing of the documentary coincides with the 30 anniversary of the racing star’s entry into motor racing and features rare interviews with his wife Corrina and his children Gina and Mick.

Michael enjoyed a glittering career and is widely regarded as one of the greatest drivers of all time but tragedy stuck in 2013 when he suffered a severe and life-threatening brain injury while on a ski holiday with his family.

Netflix snapped up the global rights to the film from German company B/14 FILM GmbH and directors Hanns -Bruno Kammertons, Vanessa Nocker and Michael Welsh.
