The pair have been married for 34 years and they have two children together, with son Sean Harmon making an appearance in NCIS as the younger version of Gibbs in a flashback scene.

Now it's Harmon's wife's turn as she will be joining the cast for a four-episode story arc. Dawber will be starring in NCIS for the first time on Tuesday, April 6, in an en episode called Gut Punch.

The actress is going to be portraying a character called Marcie Warren who is a journalist. She is described as "a seasoned investigative journalist who uses her savvy wit and down-to-earth people.
