The major movie chains in the United States are closing all locations amid the coronavirus outbreak and it’s expected that all of the other theaters will be closed throughout the pandemic.

AMC, Regal, Landmark, Cineplex Odeon, and Alamo Drafthouse are among the chains that have all confirmed they’ll be shutting their doors.

Deadline reports that theaters around the country are going to be closed for “at least six to 12 weeks, in compliance with local, state and federal directives, and as a precaution to help ensure the health and safety of moviegoers and theatre staff.” New guidelines from the CDC limit social gatherings to no more than 10 people.
