Albion Rovers will be without Motherwell kid Corey O'Donnell this weekend regardless if he signs an extension to his loan deal. The Cliftonhill club are keen to keep the striker at the club for the rest of the season and talks remain ongoing with the Steelmen after O'Donnell's loan deal expired last week. But Rovers boss Brian Reid has revealed the 18-year-old has been in Covid isolation and will miss the visit of Stenhousemuir even if he does stay in League Two, where he has made 14 appearances and scored two goals since October.

Reid told Lanarkshire Live Sport: "We are still discussing things with Motherwell so there's no decision been made on Corey yet. "We are waiting to hear back from them on that matter."But Corey has been isolating for the last 10 days and he hasn't trained this week so he will be out for Saturday either way."It's just him in the squad isolating but we do have a lot of other players out through injury, like Jamie Leslie, Kyle Doherty, Jordan Morton and Declan Byrne, although Declan is probably only a week away from being back fit."Mikey Mullen is away back to Kilmarnock after his loan spell finished so that's where we are at the moment."Reid remains on the hunt for additions to the squad after adding Blair Malcolm to the side from East Kilbride last week. And he could have more new faces in the coming days.He added: "We are in discussions with a couple of other players at the moment."We do hope to bring in another three or four players because we need to replace a few players."Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
