Not spotting the signs early can mean longer or more intense treatment with others sadly losing their life.Cancer accounted for nearly 10 million deaths in 2020, according to the World Health Organisation.Early detection is one of the key ways to improving outcomes, but knowledge about the warning signs can be an obstacle.
A study published in the Journal of Public Health sought to plug this gap in knowledge, reported The Express. Researchers found almost a quarter of cancer patients they studied experienced abdominal symptoms before diagnosis.They concluded the need for awareness campaigns may be greater given the findings.
