While many of us spent the last weekend of lockdown lounging in our leggings watching TV, it was a markedly more glamourous affair for Derry’s Eileen O’Donnell.

The 27-year-old spent the weekend representing Ireland in the 20th Miss Earth pageant, an event the Emerald Isle has never placed in.

It would usually be a month-long event in the Philippines, but rather fittingly for the environmentally focused pageant, this year everyone reduced their carbon footprint hugely by competing from their respective homes.
