Drivers have been warned to check their tyres - or risk a fine of up to £10,000. Millions of drivers are travelling around the UK unaware they are risking a huge fine and 12 points on their license every time they get behind the wheel.
And with the colder weather approaching, many motorists are endangering themselves and other road users because they haven't made a simple safety check, WalesOnline reports.
It is estimated some ten million illegal tyres can be found on UK cars, with a maximum penalty of £2,500 and three points on a licence - per tyre - if they fall below the minimum standard.
