Michelle Pfieffer leads tributes to rapper Coolio after death age 59

Michelle Pfieffer has led tributes to late rapper and Celebrity Big Brother star Coolio. It was confirmed by his management that the Gangsta’s Paradise rapper had died aged 59 on Wednesday 28 September.

Coolio’s manager at Trinity Artists International, Sheila Finegan, said: “We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend and client, Coolio, who passed away this afternoon. “He touched the world with the gift of his talent and will be missed profoundly. “Thank you to everyone worldwide who has listened to his music and to everyone who has been reaching out regarding his passing.

Please have Coolio’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.” In the wake of the sad news, tributes have come rolling in for Coolio – real name Artis Leon Ivey Jr.

Coolio’s hit track Gangsta’s Paradise featured on 1995 movie Dangerous Minds, starring Michelle, which helped the song become one of the biggest rap songs in history.
