Legendary GAA commentator Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh’s appearance on the Late Late Show this week was no doubt a highlight for a lot of people.

The 89-year-old shared some words of wisdom while speaking with Miriam O’Callaghan, who was filling in for Ryan Tubridy. He notably shared some Irish words of advice during the country’s moment of crisis: ‘Ní neart go cur le chéile,’ which translates to ‘there is no strength without unity,’ and ‘dúiseacht le dúthracht le breacadh an lae’, which means ‘wake with enthusiasm at the dawning of the day.’ He also revealed that he has been in self-isolation for the past two weeks and praised the healthcare workers throughout the country for their hard work.
