Former Boddingtons bitter girl Melanie Sykes is celebrating three years of being sober. Melanie has celebrated the landmark with her Instagram followers, branding alcohol 'toxic bull****.' The former model from Mossley shot to fame as the face of the Boddingtons adverts in the 90s when it was then known as the 'Cream of Manchester.' Melanie, 49, famously popped her head out of an ice cream van in one of the ads with a pint of bitter instead of a cone to say “do you want a flake in that love?” She was also known for asking Tarquil "are your trollies on't right way round?" The yoga-loving mother-of-two was in a celebratory mood as she shared a photo of herself looking radiant with some inspiring words: "I gave up alcohol completely 3 years
