Manchester United shares rise following European Super League announcement

United are one of 12 founding clubs named in the proposals, which promised three other clubs would join ahead of the inaugural season.

Ahead of the New York Stock Exchange opening on Monday morning United shares rose by 11 per cent in early premarket action, while similar shares in Juventus rose by seven per cent in Milan.

At the time of publishing shares in United had risen from 16.17 at close on Friday to 17.98 on Monday lunchtime, a rise of 11.32 per cent.
