Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot sends message to teammates after missed chances vs Wigan

Diogo Dalot admitted Manchester United's performance against Wigan on Monday night was 'not perfect' after they squandered a whole host of chances in their 2-0 victory.

United crashed out of Europe before Christmas, they have exited the Carabao Cup and currently sit eighth in the Premier League, which means the FA Cup is the only option for silverware this term.

Erik ten Hag won the Carabao Cup in his first year in charge and Manchester City denied the Dutchman a domestic cup double when defeating United in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

United are looking to atone for that disappointment in England's oldest cup competition this season and they began their campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory against Wigan Athletic on Monday night. "We know this was the first step for us to go to Wembley, which is where we want to be at the end of the season.
