Man breaks nurse's cheekbone after launching random attack in A&E

A man has appeared in court following an attack on medical staff at Salford Royal Infirmary where he punched a male nurse to the face, fracturing his cheekbone.

Daniel Shevlin, 27, walked up to the advanced practitioner, who was working in the A&E department, and punched him without warning.

The nurse fell to the floor and suffered a fractured cheekbone and swollen jaw. Shevlin, of Salford, then threatened a female nurse who challenged him, telling her: “Shut the f*** up you little s**g.
