Major incident in Nottingham sees several roads closed and huge police presence
dailyrecord.co.ukSeveral roads have been closed in Nottingham due to a major incident in the city centre. Police, paramedics and firefighters are all at the scene, as well as specialist rescue unit vehicles.
Members of the public have been asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes, Nottingham Live reports. The A6008 Upper Parliament Street has been cordoned off from the junction with Maid Marian Way, towards the Theatre Royal.
The A60 Mansfield Road has also been closed between Woodborough Road, towards Mapperley and St Ann's, and Shakespeare Street, near the Victoria Centre.
It is not known the nature of the incident at the moment.While Milton Street, that runs parallel to the main entrance to the shopping centre, and Burton Street have also been sealed off.
