'Loving' young man tragically slipped and fell to death in front of horrified girlfriend

A "kind and loving" man tragically slipped and fell five storeys to his death in front of his horrified girlfriend after a New Year's Eve night out.The emergency services were called to the block at approximately 9.20am on January 1, following reports that a man had fallen from a building.

Kudzai-Anesu Ronald Maboreke, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene in Everton by paramedics, Liverpool Echo writes. On March 31, Liverpool Coroner's Court heard how Maboreke had been out drinking with his friends before falling five storeys in the tragic accident.

Maboreke had been studying pharmacy at Liverpool John Moores University.Coroner's officer Karen Gregory said that Maboreke had been out clubbing with friends to celebrate the New Year. #He and his girlfriend, named in court as Cindy, went back to a friend's apartment at around 4am to carry on drinking.

At around 8.30am, the couple returned to Maboreke's apartment on Fox Street. The court heard that Cindy later told police that on their return to the apartment building, he had seemed 'agitated.' Cindy said her partner had "slammed doors" and "kicked his shoes off".She went out into a corridor to collect her boyfriend's shoes and when she went returned to the flat, Maboreke had ventured out onto a window ledge.Ms Gregory said: "Cindy said 'its not safe' and to come back in.
