LOVE Island's Jessica Hayes was rushed to hospital and put on a drip after getting an infection from dodgy fake nails. The 27-year-old reality star said she had developed swelling and pain around the cuticle on her finger a day after she visited the salon and shortly after began to suffer shooting pains along her arm.

The TV star, who shared a video from her hospital bed on Sunday, said she was unable to bend her left arm after ten days of suffering with the pain at home. "So the doctor's on this morning and I've got two options, I could either have my nail completely off," she told fans. "Get it bandaged up, obviously it's going to take months to grow back, but it is what it is. "It will get to the root of the infection or I can stay on the antibiotics for one more night and day. "So stay in tonight and then hopefully if I see an improvement I won't need the nail off." Jess explained that the rest of her fake nails could not be removed in hospital and would have to wait until she left.

The TV beauty went onto show fans her left hand ring finger where the infection initially started, which looked very red and swollen. "My arm hurt straight away after but I took the oral antibiotics, I just thought it would get better," she said. .css-qu9fel{border-top:1px solid #dcdddd;}.css-b9nmbi{margin-bottom:16px;border-top:1px solid.
