LOVE Island fans have been left fuming after a technical glitch occured minutes into the launch show. The smash-hit ITV2 dating series returned to screens this evening with a Winter edition.

Maya Jama made her debut as the show's new presenter following Laura Whitmore's departure last year. However the show was rocked by technical difficulties just minutes into the programme.

Viewers watched as their screens went to black as the ITV2 channel logo remained on the screen. It happened just as science, PE teacher and rugby player Kai Fagan from Manchester appeared with his intro VT.
