Lidl follows Aldi and releases £2.99 dupe of this year's most popular viral food product

After going viral on Tik Tok, frozen Little Moons mochi desserts quickly sold out in supermarkets like ASDA, Tesco and Morrisons.

Now Lidl has revealed it's following in the footsteps of Aldi, and is releasing its own version of Little Moons. But while Aldi's mochi balls come in three different flavours, Lidl is offering four.

A spokesperson for Lidl said: "This summer, Lidl is launching its own selection of the beloved Japanese-inspired sweet treats.
