The New York Times.“We do not decide whether DACA or its rescission are sound policies,” Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the majority opinion. “‘The wisdom’ of those decisions ‘is none of our concern.’ We address only whether the agency complied with the procedural requirement that it provide a reasoned explanation for its action.”Justice Clarence Thomas, writing the dissent on behalf of the minority, argued that the court’s decision was politically motivated, and that any fix to allow DACA recipients to stay in the country was the responsibility of the legislative branch.“Today’s decision must be recognized for what it is: an effort to avoid a politically controversial but legally correct decision,” Thomas wrote, arguing that the court.
